Finally made it into Star*Line!

My debut in the Science Fiction Poetry Association's magazine Star*Line is in the Winter 2018 issue (41.1) with two poems: "Green Men Don't Talk" (loosely based on Green Man mythology and the legend of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight) and "Shovel" (a nice dark poem about a shovel come to life . . .that wants to kill!).

MRI

This poem is titled after a procedure I had: MRI. I expected it to be hard psychologically since I'm claustrophobic, but I didn't realize how hard it was physically. An MRI is a really loud procedure that makes you feel like you're being run through a buzz saw. Songs of Eretz is an online magazine run by a doctor. Photos illustrate each poem.

Diabolus Ex Machina

Here's a theater poem in Issue 6 of Modern Poetry Quarterly Review. We hear about the literary device of Deus Ex Machina a lot, so I thought, hey, shouldn't there also be a Diabolus Ex Machina?

The Genius

That's the title of a new poem published in issue 3 of the up-and-coming Mithila Review. This poem received a whole paragraph of review from Quick Sip Reviews by Charles Payseur. He understood my poem and intentions perfectly! How cool is that? Read the poem (or hear me read it on the Mithila site) and then read the review.

"After the Circus Leaves" opens Issue #29 of the renowned Silver Blade Magazine. (Once in awhile, there are advantages to having a surname that starts with a B.) This one is about a conscientious scarecrow. Click the title of this post to enjoy!
